Both of us were exhausted from the stress of the last several months and especially the last few weeks. Jean is settling in at the Arbors and we are taking a much needed break. We packed the MH and left around 9 am on the 24th , one day earlier then planned. .
We stopped for gas and the electric step wouldn't go out and the fridge was out as well. Great, we had been on the road for only four hours and already had an issue. Ron checked the house batteries and fiddled but still no connection. We decided to find a CG and see if he could figure it out.
We stopped at the Clayton Park CG in Lake Ariel, PA. We we able to get a site for the night but there was no guarantee we would be able to stay an additional night if needed. It was a very nice CG on a lake but was overshadowed by the electrical issue.

Ron thought that once we plugged in we would have our services back. That didn't work so he began his diagnostics. Our neighbors came over to help to no avail. Not sure what Ron did but all of a sudden we had electricity. He called a mobile RV tech but he told us he was so busy we wouldn't see him until the following week. UGH!

We were able to secure another night while Ron did more trouble shooting. He discovered some broken wire but not until later in the day. While looking in his tool boxes for replacement cables another neighbor came over offering assistance. Turned out he was a truck mechanic who owned his own garage 5 miles down the street. He went to his place and got the stuff needed to replace the cables and assured us we would have no further issues with the new cables soldered in place.
Ron tried to pay him but he refused and just told us to "pay it forward." A big thanks to Mike for his kindness and help.
