August 11 & 12, 2019 - Day 18 & 19 - Lebanon Hills Campground, Apple Valley, Minnesota- MOA

August 11 & 12, 2019 - Day  18 & 19  Lebanon Hills Campground, Apple Valley, Minnesota- Mall of America

August 11, 2019 -  Travel day and set up at CG.

We were unable to get a CG on the way out to go to the Mall of America but were able to get two nights at Lebanon Hill CG about eight miles from the mall on our way home.  We checked in, set up and stayed put for the night.

August 12, 2019  - Mall of America

We were up, out  and at the mall by 10:30 am. The place was already packed. As promised , the mall is enormous. Ron is not a shopper so we were only there to check it out.

Just happened to park near a Maine Lobster. LOL

If you don't like to walk this is not the place to go. . We checked out each floor, Ron thought pretty methodically but we found ourselves going in circle a few times.

There is a huge amusement park in the middle of the mall that is quite impressive.

So in the winter months when people have to take their batteries out of their vehicles and bring them inside, the Amusement Park is always open. Good deal for kids who are bored staying inside there homes.

There is also a  3 million gallon aquarium you can walk through. We decided to check it out, for a fee of course.

Once done looking at fish and other Sea creatures we decided to have lunch. We found this cool restaurant  called Cantina Laredo Modern Mexican. They had limited choices but we found enchiladas that sounded good. Ron got beef and I got chicken. When they were delivered  Ron had red sauce and I had white sauce. Not what I expected but it was OK. It was a "modern" enchilada. lol

Cute wall arrangement

After lunch we decided to take the FlyOver America flight simulation ride.

FlyOver America is a flight simulation ride that brings guests on an aerial tour of some of the greatest landmarks and regions throughout the United States in virtual flight technology. The attraction is a fully immersive experience including wind, mist and even scents.

Yes indeed, lots of winds, mist and smell to behold . It was a fun ride and over way too soon.

Back in the mall we walked and walked until we couldn't anymore. By 5:30 pm we were done. Ron  and I agreed that if you couldn't find what you want to buy at this mall then it doesn't exist.

We would be heading out in the morning. Our next destination - the  Winnebago Factory Tour in Elkhart, Indiana.
