August 6, 2019 - Day 12 - Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Medora, ND

August 6, 2019 -  Theodore Roosevelt  National Park, Medora, ND

Today we spent the day exploring  the park. We weren't sure of its" size and what it had to offer. We have been to so many beautiful national parks and were hoping we wouldn't be disappointed after such a long journey.  We were not disappointed. The park is smaller then some but just a s beautiful in its own way.

As we continued to drive the landscape changed in ways we weren't expecting.

The landscape is quite  different here and it always amazes us how unique each area that we visit it. We did take a 3 mile hike but the landscape was somewhat barren and flat.

Maybe  the hike wasn't so flat LOL.

We had  a great day and look forward to heading to the North side of the park for more adventure.  Back at the CG we relaxed and then took a walk into town for an ice cream.
